Focus and approach
CRIC interventions are based on UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and focus on the following 4 areas:
- - Establishing children as subjects of rights / children as right-holders
- - Family environment (and alternative care)
- - Education
- - Protection of children from all forms of violence
These areas are interconnected and interrelated in the same way as the children's rights they correspond to.
CRIC contributes to the realization of children's rights especially through:
- - Strengthening systems, structures & mechanisms to make a reality of rights
- - Strengthening Capacities of Rights Holders to claim their rights and Duty Bearers to fulfill their responsibilities
- - Mainstreaming the application of the CRC General Principles
